About Us

The Farningham Day Nursery was established in 1996 by Kirsty & Colin Mitchem and during that time has been managed by Gillian Mitchell, a qualified childcare professional.

Gillian, who has four grown-up children of her own, became the new owner of the nursery in July 2005 and together with the staff has established a happy, relaxed and well-ordered atmosphere within the nursery.

Our Aim

To develop the full potential of each individual child by providing an environment which enhances opportunities to learn through play. We promote positive experiences, encouraging each child to explore and experiment independently at a level which suits the child.
 
 
 
Mature Carers

We employ a high number of mature carers who between them have many years' experience in childcare and who are able to pass on their first class knowledge to younger members of staff.

We are also proud of the high staff-to-child ratio in the pre-school area that we are able to offer. This ratio is higher than that required by law and ensures that each individual child gets all the attention that he or she deserves.
