3-5 years (Pre-school)
Our pre-school programme for the older children follows
OFSTED guidelines and focuses on the six key areas of learning show on the
right.Using these areas as our basis we help to develop each child's full
potential through a variety of structured and free-time activities. These
include arts and crafts, modelling, role playing, story times, word games,
music and movement, number play, work with shapes, group activities and team
projects.
We also arrange walks around the village for all the children and at certain
times throughout the year we organise day trips away from the nursery.
Mealtimes We have our own fully equipped kitchen where all the meals
are prepared on site using fresh ingredients. Children arriving before
9.00am are provided with breakfast and this is followed by a healthy snack and
drink at 10.00am. The main meal of the day, which includes fresh fruit and
vegetables, is served at midday and tea is provided in the afternoon. Early
foods are provided for the babies and children with special dietary needs
can also be catered for. Parents are encouraged to discuss specific
requirements with the staff. Each week a full menu is displayed in the lobby
for all parents to see. |
