Our Curriculum

We aim to provide an ambitious yet balanced curriculum that covers all seven learning areas of the EYFS and is sequenced from birth to five years old with each room having a tailored curriculum within this. Our curriculum promotes equality, inclusion and high expectations for all children whilst remaining responsive to children’s interests and levels of development. Our curriculum supports children’s knowledge, skills and behaviours to prepare them for their next stage of learning. The key focus of our curriculum is:

  • To build secure attachments and positive relationships with both adults and other children to feel safe and to play co-operatively with others.
  • Developing physical skills including gross and fine motor skills.
  • Early communication, expanding on this to promote advanced language skills and a broad vocabulary.
  • Building on sensory awareness and problem solving.
  • Developing emotional expression, recognition and self-regulation.
  • Enhance independence, self-help skills, evolving confidence and taking responsibility.
  • Awareness of early literacy and numeracy.

All these skills from the beginning will support children for their next stage of learning and work towards school readiness.
